Custom CRMs

A CRM built around how your team actually works

Abdur Rehman is a custom CRM developer and CRM consultant who builds CRMs around a team’s real process: leads, browser calling and SMS, e-signatures, automation rules and AI call summaries in one system. He designed and built FindRE, which replaced a patchwork of tools for a real-estate investment team and is now offered to other investors as a product.

This is for you if

  • Your process lives across a CRM, a dialer, a texting tool, an e-signature service and spreadsheets.
  • You pay for a big CRM and use a fraction of it, with workarounds for the parts that matter.
  • Leads go cold in the gaps between tools.

What you get

Your pipeline, your stages

Leads, contacts, deals and tasks modelled on how your team works, with roles and permissions.

Communication built in

Calling and texting from the browser with Twilio, a shared inbox, and everything logged against the record.

Automation and AI

Rules for routine steps, AI summaries after calls, reply drafts, and an MCP server so AI assistants can work with the CRM.

A clean migration

Your contacts, custom fields and history moved from the old system, checked before you switch.

When is a custom CRM worth it?

When your process is your advantage and off-the-shelf tools keep getting in its way. If you are paying for several tools, stitching them together by hand and still losing leads in the gaps, a system built around your flow removes those gaps.

If a standard CRM fits how you work, keep it. I will tell you that on the first call.

Can a custom CRM replace GoHighLevel or a similar tool?

Yes. For a real-estate investment team I moved the contacts and custom fields out of their marketing CRM, and FindRE now holds their calling, texting, contracts and follow-ups in one system they own.

Can it include calling, texting and e-signatures?

Yes. Calls and SMS run in the browser through Twilio and are logged automatically. Contracts go out for e-signature from the deal and come back signed and filed.

How much does a custom CRM cost?

It depends on three things: how many kinds of record and screens your process needs, which integrations are involved (calling, texting, e-signature, accounting, email), and how much data has to move from the old system. A CRM for one team with a clear process is a far smaller build than a product that serves many companies.

After a short call I send a fixed quote for an agreed scope, so you know the cost before work starts, and larger builds are split into milestones. If a standard CRM would be cheaper and good enough for how you work, I will say so on that call.

Do I need a CRM consultant or a CRM developer?

A CRM consultant helps you choose and set up a product that already exists. A CRM developer builds one around your process. I do both, in that order: the first conversation is an honest look at whether an existing CRM fits, and the build only starts when it does not.

Where I’ve done this

FindRE deal pipeline showing leads moving through acquisition stages

FindRE

Calls, texts, contracts, follow-ups and AI call summaries in one system, with an MCP server so AI assistants can work the pipeline.

How a project goes

  1. Map the process

We walk through your pipeline, the tools in it and where leads get lost.

  2. Design the system

Data model, roles, screens and integrations, agreed before building.

  3. Build and migrate

The CRM ships in slices to staging while your data is migrated and checked.

  4. Switch over

Your team moves across with a walkthrough, and the old tools are retired.

Questions people ask

Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask me.

Ask me directlyI read and answer every message.

Can you migrate our data from our current CRM?

Yes. Contacts, custom fields and history are exported, mapped and imported, then checked with you before the switch.

Can the CRM be offered to other companies later?

Yes, if it is built for that from the start, with each company’s data kept separate. FindRE began as one team’s system and is now offered as a product.

How does pricing work?

After a short call I send a fixed quote for an agreed scope, so you know the cost before work starts. Larger builds are split into milestones.

Do I own the code?

Yes. The code lives in your repository and runs on your accounts. You own the code, the accounts and the data, so you are never locked in to me.
