Who is responsible
This site belongs to Abdur Rehman, and I am responsible for the information it collects. You can reach me at hello@abdurrehman.dev.
The contact form
When you send the form, it collects your name, email address, company if you give one, the topics you pick and your message. It also includes the first page you opened on this site and the website that sent you here, if your browser shares it, so I can see which pages are useful. That is held in the page's memory during your visit only. Nothing is saved on your device.
The form sends everything to my inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. If delivery is unavailable, the form opens your own email app with your message written in, and you send it from there.
Email to hello@abdurrehman.dev is forwarded to my inbox by Cloudflare.
Booking a call
The calendar on the contact page comes from Cal.com, so Cal.com receives an ordinary page request when the calendar loads. When you book, Cal.com collects your name, email address, the time you choose and any answers you give, and sends both of us a confirmation. Cal.com handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to see which pages are read and which lead to a conversation. Analytics also records a few actions, such as a click on a link to the contact page, the calendar coming into view, a booked call or a sent message. It never records what you wrote.
- The site tells Google not to use visits for advertising: advertising storage and ad data are switched off for every visitor.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are counted without cookies. Google receives signals that carry no identifier stored on your device.
- Everywhere else, Google Analytics sets its own cookies on this site to recognise repeat visits.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics uses no cookies and collects no personal data.
If your browser blocks analytics, the site works exactly the same.
Hosting
The site runs on Railway. Like any web host, it keeps standard request logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the service.
On your device
The site remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, in your browser's local storage. That setting never leaves your device.
What I do not do
I do not sell data, show ads, or share your details with anyone except the services named above, each for the one purpose it serves.
How long I keep things, and your choices
I keep messages and booking details for as long as they are useful for our conversation and any work that follows. You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing hello@abdurrehman.dev. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
